What we’ve been up to in 2009

School of Worship Sept – Dec 2008

The school of Worship (SOW) was re-pioneered here at YWAM Lausanne and we were partly staff giving leadership and direction to the outcome of the already existing Worship ministry that Daniel leads on the Campus, but also students to learn and be part of the exciting program.

This School taught us so much on the role of the Worship leader, the Prophetic, Prayer, Warfare aspects of Worship, Leadership, Song writing, and so much more.

Within the School there were plenty of opportunity to lead worship within teams up to 3 or 4 times a week and our voices and skills grew a lot in this intensive aspect.

We finished the week with recording some of our first songs we wrote and we hope that as future schools will continue to take place and the Worship ministry continue on in this place, that many new songs will be written to Worship and glorify our Lord.

Camilla joins the world

We keep thanking God for our sweet and precious child.

Our “wonderful” (meaning of Camilla) princess is now 6 months old and she is such a joy! She brings completion to our family and a fun dynamic as we are continue to learn what it means to be a family in missions.

Camilla is a very strong little girl who loves to talk, laugh but most of all “walk” everywhere! She moves all over the place in her walk ring and we have to keep an eye on her now! Camilla brings joy not only to us but  to our YWAM Community also. She is very active in our Community times of worship, lunch times and brings joy and love to everyone around!

She now shows off 2 little teeth in the bottom and are enjoying more solid foods.

One Voice

On March and May, YWAM Bases from around the world are linking together throughout all time zones to
worship God together in One Voice. Through music, cultural expressions, dance and the prophetic declaration of the word of God strength and unity is built up as we connect. We are excited to see One Voice taking place more often and we look forward to see God moving in our International family. Year of Local Outreaches

Easter Outreach

YWAM Lausanne had the privilege of joining Quatier Libre in a local Easter outreach. Every year Quartier Libre runs a camp during the Easter week for youth and families. We partnered with them in ministering to our city.  Our desire was to serve the people through bringing joy and light to their hearts.

We gave out free hot dogs, hugs, and caricatures, and did friendship evangelism by the lake in Vidy. We also had a few rousing games of soccer with those who we met.

In the city-center we had several different teams ministering. Playing fun games, doing dances and dramas, Worship and Intercession and distributing 2000 home made cookies to every business in the city was some of the activities our teams did to bless the city of Lausanne.

As a base, we stepped out in what God has laid on our hearts to bring a smile to people and be there to serve and show them who God is through our actions of love. This 6 days of outreach were very fruitful! The city was impacted by many similes, laughter, and joy brought to many through our action.

Regeneration 2009

This is the third year that we go to Montreux during the World famous Jazz festival and set up a tent and place for music, dance and other performances as a platform to present the gospel. It was wonderful to see how each year God is giving us more authority and favor in reaching out to the people in Montreux. The spiritual ground is softening and the people are more open to talk and hear the gospel message!

We had the privilege to talk to hundreds of people, prayed for many of them and some even experienced supernatural healing in their bodies. We saw 6 people giving their heart to Jesus. Beside that, over 1,000 people heard the gospel message through testimonies shared in between performances on the stage. We praise God for this wonderful 10 day outreach and are so excited to see it grow further each year.

Daniel was also part of a band and Luzanne were part of a dance team. A good friend helped us to take care of Camilla who stayed home in the evenings. Though it was a bit hard seeing very little of her, we were very happy to serve in leading this outreach and are thankful for all the growth we’ve experience in learning His ways in a life style of evangelism.

CATALYST 9 July - September

Before, During and After the UofN Workshop YWAM is planning outreaches in the 4 locations for teams to come and minister.

Catalyst 9 is a focused opportunity for the diversity of YWAM and the University of the Nations to come together in a unified effort to reach the cities for Jesus.

In Switzerland, Catalyst 9 is focusing from July 1 through September 15 in four cities in the French speaking part of Switzerland.

This is an exciting time for us to plan and facilitate for many to come to Switzerland and minister in a variety of ways. We trust for many teams to come and bring light into this part of the world that so desperately need God and that this will open doors for local ongoing ministry to follow.

Year of Events and Celebrations

YWAM Switzerland 40 years Celebration - September 5 - 6

This year we celebrate 40 years of YWAM in Switzerland. We are inviting anyone who came through here, whether visiting, doing a school or who have been part of the ministry in Switzerland to gather together and celebrate God’s faithfulness! God has done so much during the last 40 years and we believe He is saying Multiplication! We trust that during this few days of celebration He will minister to people, release more vision and bring our hearts together in worship to glorify Him for His great works!

UofN Workshop 2009 - September 7 - 12

For such a time as this!
A Workshop convened by YWAM’s University of the Nations
South Africa - Egypt - Ukraine - Switzerland

The biggest event this year will be YWAM’s UofN Workshop where once every two years all of YWAM is invited to meet, worship, and discover the season we are in our mission. This workshop will take place in 4 locations: South Africa, Egypt, Ukraine and Switzerland. The main sessions will be connected via GENESIS (YWAM’s global video-conferencing network).

Luzanne will be a part of the team who facilitates the overall program. And Daniel is involved in organizing the logistic. Our expectation is to have about 500 participants who will join this significant event in Lausanne in such a time as this.

Praise report
Camilla’s health and development - We never take for granted the continuous positive news we get from Camilla’s doctor. To watch her grow and discover her world is our greatest joy.
Luzanne’s recovery - After minor post-partum complications, Luzanne is doing great with 100% recovery after surgery in May.
Grandparents visit - Camilla is very thankful for the opportunity to meet “vovô & vovó” Bosco e Rose (Daniel’s parents) for the first time. They will visit us for a month in September

Prayer request
Preparation for upcoming events - With the multiple major YWAM global events taking place in Lausanne we are being stretched in our capacity in many ways. Pray that God will continue to guide us in wisdom and discernment.
Financial support - Please pray for a breakthrough in our regular support. We still need to see 40% of our budget released before the end of the year.

We appreciate your Prayers and Support in our lives!
