Esmeraldos Summer Update

“Everyone who comes to me and hears my words and does them, I will show you what he is like: he is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when a flood arose, the stream broke against that house and could not shake it, because it had been well built. But the one who hears and does not do them is like a man who built a house on the ground without a foundation. When the stream broke against it, immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.” Luke 6:47

“In order to keep building, we need to re-strengthen the foundations.” This was the word of the Lord for us this year. We felt God taking us back “into the roots” to work and strengthen our focus in the areas of family, finances, relationships and ministry, so that we can go further and build higher towards the future. Working on foundations may feel like a step back, but the need to revisit it and the empowering effect over us toward the future is the most valuable lesson we are learning through this process.

10 years of planting and watering in Regeneration

“So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth” – 1 Cor 3:7

This Summer as we prepared for Regeneration #10 we could really see God taking this ministry further and some prophetic words released during this time was “get ready for a major growth.” 100 people from over 25 nations came together for 15 days to build a platform to present the gospel through Performing Arts, Children/family activities, hospitality, photo shoots with prophetic words, intercession, bible distribution and evangelism.

One night some of our team prayed for a lady who was born deaf and she could hear! Her expression in hearing her child’s voice for the first time brought us all to tears. Through that God spoke: “I am opening the ears of the people to the gospel like never before”. We were so encouraged after years and years of service to see each night salvation and miracles and a hunger for God’s word. Throughout this event we experienced daily challenges but as we pushed back the darkness there were tremendous opportunities that enabled us to do more than we planned for.

All together, we know of 45 people who committed their lives to Jesus (with one being baptized); we witnessed 25 people receiving physical healing through prayer; we could distribute over 520 bibles in over 40 languages and could pray for over 400 people. Altogether, our team was able to talk to over 700 people.

Serving and building relationship with our Home Church

For a couple years we have desired to spend an extended time as a family with our Dove Westgate Church in Ephrata, Pennsylvania.

It was a very full yet fulfilling time for our family to strengthen existing relationships, build new relationships and serve our Church in different ways. Daniel could speak in various gatherings and small groups, we could serve in the area of Worship and helped facilitate an outreach in the local town. This was such an incredible time for our whole family and we loved seeing our kids making new friends. We trust to see more of God’s Kingdom fulfilled as we partner together towards future opportunities.

UofN Workshop in Costa Rica

“Pura vida!” The Bi-Annual UofN Workshop took place in San Jose, Costa Rica. Luzanne served as part of the team facilitating this gathering that hosted over 700 YWAMers from 57 nations. The theme of the conference was “On earth as it is in Heaven”, and the goal was to seek God and gain greater understanding in what it means to bring God’s Kingdom to all spheres of society and reaching out to the poor, the orphan and the refugees.  The gathering took place in 5 languages, English, Spanish, Portuguese, Korean and American sign language. We had teaching from renowned speakers such as Skye Jethani, and had very rich times of worship, prayer and intercession for current issues of our world, including the current devastation of earthquakes and hurricanes.

Growth and Expansion in Lausanne

This year has been incredible. We have had the privilege to train over 180 students through 11 different programs. Lebanon, Egypt, Philippines, Albania, Thailand, Israel, Togo, Switzerland and China we some of the locations we sent outreach or ministry teams to. As we grow and see the need for space expansion, we are very close to see a breakthrough in our property development project. We are hoping to start to break the ground by the beginning of 2018.

We appreciate your prayers, love, friendship and partnership!

“For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen” – Romans 11:36
